I've been shopping for a while now, I'm stuck on an older Cigarette, but the wife is really interested in the Formula's.
This thread is making look a little harder at Formula's.
I've known since I was a kid that they are a great boat.
If I pulled the trigger on a Formula, it would likely be the 292.
But, I think I'd leave it all white for the first season, then consider some subtle custom paint work.
All these new graphic scheme's (from almost all boat builders) are bit too much for me.
I loved the old "hockey stick" paint, maybe just some updated color combinations - the orange and brown of the early to mid 80's just doesn't cut it. The old Cigarette red/black/silver is still a classic look though.
I saw a thread on here somewhere of a Formula that was painted all Silver on the hullsides, with black accents, looked great.
Good luck with the new toy.

I was all set on the conservative blue, black, red color combo in the #3 scheme, but after visiting the factory and seeing a 292 in the lobby in the Barbados colors we changed our minds. These colors look REALLY good in person. Plus, it kind of carries on the tradition of our last boat which had a purple and black scheme.

I didn't receive any pictures from Ryan today. She's probably already shrink-wrapped and ready for the haul south. Please snap a couple pics and post if you get a chance. Remember... baby those engines and nothing over 3/4 throttle... at least until we get there!

I was in New Haven a few weeks ago on business (Parker Hannifin) and didn't have time to make a quick trip to Decatur. It was KILLING me to be so close!

Here ya go,Dave. We are not going to remove the rest of the shrink wrap till next week. Don't want it to get any Alabama dust on it. Robert
