I would like to invite Formula owners to Lake Cumberland on the weekend of May 18th thru the 21st.

The Midwest Donzi Club is holding our annual Awakening of the Horses gathering at the Jamestown Resort in Jamestown, KY. This year in addition to a Donzi gathering, we are honoring the late great Don Aronow and the boat companies he formed.

Did you talk to me back in 02? I've never told anyone they couldn't run with us at Cumberland. I'd be interested in knowing who told you no. We've had boats from a Ski Supreme, Crownline, even an Eliminator Cat from MI, and American Offshore cat over the years. Last year a Formula with trips ran to 76 Falls with us. Yes, we're holding a gathering, but we don't own the lake. This year, even some woodies will be joining us at Jamestown.

Kind of a sore subject with me, but Formula was the only company to not want to be on our event t-shirt along with the other Aronow companies. They didn't want to be listed with competitor boat companies. Beats me how a boat company could turn down free advertising. I didn't ask them to pay to be listed on the shirts. I'm working very hard to give the shirts free to all that attend this year. We're finally at a point where I can give back to the attendees. So, I'm hoping to do so. This gathering is about the boat owners, not the boat companies building the boats.

The Midwest Donzi Club as always been about allowing all the Donzi models be at the gathering. Not just Classics. So, you Formula owners bring em out. We'd love to have you all join us in the celebration of Don Aronow.

Update as were only 2 weeks away from the gathering. The Boater's Life website staff will be in attendance to do a story on our gathering. They'll be taking pictures and shooting video. If your planning to attend, be ready to show off your boats and give a description of what your running. So far, I've been contacted by the Formula owner who ran with us last year and an owner of a Formula 303. So, don't think you'll be the only ones. Event shirts are being printed and given to everyone in attendance. Celebrate the boat companies of Don Aronow with us.
