311 Question
I have a couple of 311 questions. I was hoping the formula forum could help.
1. Can any one tell me the approximate size of the sun-pad on a 311?
2. What is the L.O.A.?
3. What would the best props work the best (440 HP / stock exhaust, bravo one out drives)?
Thank you in advance.
Chris

Re: 311 Question
31' 1" NOT including the bolt on swim platform
33' 6" (like above) with platform
Mine with 454 mags and EMI Thunder exhaust with Stainless Marine Tips, (NO silent thunder box) runs 71/72 with 24 inch Hydromotive Quad IV's.
Quad IV's are a stern lifting prop and 311's are REAL azz heavy. Dropping the silent thunder box and going from the stock Merc exhaust to the aluminum EMI thunder units got rid of almost 400 lbs. of dead weight right over the props.
The exhaust swap lost 84 lbs. PER motor and the silent thunder box is a little over 200 lbs.
