Cool 271 tabs

Has anyone out there replaced the factory Benett tabs on a 271? If so what did you use? and what changes did you see? It is good for me to run about 32 to 35 cruising with the kids in the boat, I would like to be able to do that without wearing a kidney belt!!!!!!!!!

Default Re: 271 tabs

When I bought my 1997 271 the previous owner had replaced the bennett tabs with Kplanes. They work great to keep the bow down a lower speeds and level it against a side wind but it is sluggish getting out of the hole from a dead stop. I think that might be a 271 trait that can't be fixed with trim tabs. I never had the Bennett's so I can't offer a comparison. I attached a couple pics so you can see how they were mounted. Good luck!
