Looks like you are limited on option with the sport hence the lower price Formula is able to build these boat fast and pre-planed thus less man hours. As far as hull quality they probably would not sacarfice that.

Pretty sure it is just a more price friendly 353 (less options and HO's). Magicfloat and others can answer much better but the speeds they were getting out of the sports and for the price and still getting formula quality they seemed like good deals.

If you don't need blue motors it's the best way to go. It is exactly the same except you have to add options like Lathum Steering, electric footrests, etc. You can load up a Sport till it is not a Sport, and still save big bucks. Only reason to get a non Sport over an optioned up Sport would be blue motors. BTW,Latum steering is a non published option.

I bought a 2006 353 Sport with 496HO's....ordered it with options I wanted, deleted those I didn't need. Saved some $$$$$....same hull same quality....just all a la carte' I posted some pics on formulaboatsforum.com check them out....If you are close with the price, a SPORT may put you in a bigger formula than you had in the "budget"........
