Hi everyone,
Just joined the forum today, i live in the UK and own a 1991 311-SR1. This model is very rare in the UK. It was imported new in 1991 from Florida.
Has anyone seen a colour scheme quite as bright as this one?

That's a fairly common color scheme except for the yellow. I think most used a different color in that position but I have seen this scheme too. Formulas are nice boats and built very well....(I have 2 right now). Since the interior is 15 years old redo it with something more to your liking, it probably needs it anyway.

Blitz,
Good looking Formula. I own a 91 292 SR-1 with the same scheme. My understanding is that this is unique to the 35th anniversary year of the company. I haven't seen any others here in the Chesapeake the same.

Hey,
Your 292 looks sweet. Are you running 454s?
That's interesting about it celebrating the 35th anniversary, i didnt know that.
I've got 502MAG motors on carbs, they sound really sweet but are really thirsty on gas. bearing in mind i pay over 60p a litre which is over $4 a gallon so it is pretty expensive to run but i enjoy it.
I just bust a shaft on my starboard drive so that's why it's out the water.
( looking to fit drive showers to my Bravos. Do you know a good place to buy a pair in the US?
It's crap where i live to get it repaired, i've been waiting a month...bad time of year, everybody is on holiday and loadsa boats have problems!!
some more pics.

Yeah fuel prices are harsh, it doesn't look to be getting any better, a friend of mine said to me today that they are putting up oil prices AGAIN....

Blitz,
I have the 502's also, and that was a special order upgrade (I still have the original order and delivery ticket). Look at the emblem on the side of your boat, just behind the "292 SR-1" and inside the badge you will see the "35th Anniversary".
I just put 2 new Bravo's on the stearn this spring. I have one complete w/730 hours on it for sale if you want. I don't know what the shipping is to the UK, but we could find out.
I just filled up this Saturday and put Premium in for $3.49 a gallon. A little bette than what your paying. But as t500hps said above, its gone up quite a bit. Still not stopping me from running though.
Let me know about the drive.
