Boat names

Re: Boat names
Hey Steve!
We were parked next to you at the Rendezvous. Did you get your windshield fixed?
Our boat is Leapin' Liz. Boating at LOTO she does a lot of that, but the name really came from my wife as it's an email handle that she uses. Her name is Liz and she was born on Feb. 29th so she's a leap year baby.

Of course, I have to put up with "TurdBird" from one of my little buddies in A-Bay who just happens to own a beak-bote.
As for keeping the previous name,,,,,,,,,, that's just outdated superstition. Actually, it's kinda creepy to me.

You should plan a trip up to our neck of the woods soon, think about Laborday Weekend, the Senator may be able to keep rebuild #5 running that long. You notice his thread has vanished, wonder what happened there ?

Re: Boat names
This may seem like a silly name but my parents first boat was named after mom and my two sisters. The name was BONRUCA. BONnie, RUth (mom), CArol.

Labor Day week sounds good, I'm off that week. Maybe we'll see you then.

Re: Boat names
I had a few things go wrong when I bought my 242, but fixed evrything up. When I tell the wife what I am doing next she just laughs, and says this is a bad subject

Re: Boat names
I named mine the "Intimidater" after the late great #3. The boat also happens to be Earnhard Goodwrench colors. I just wish the 330 had thru hulls so it at least sounded intimidating...winter project.

Re: Boat names
My dad stored the boat at one of his buddies houses, when my parents got divorced his friends had the name ---What she didn't get!!! --- put on it and they told my mom to drive by and look at the boat, she thought it was hilarious and we would get honks all the time when trailering the boat I took the name off when I bought it....still makes us all laugh

I am trying to think of clever names for my 91 242 SS as well. I Bought it last summer and I am still thinking of names. Was thinking of naming it "Wingnut" since it is a Thunderbird, and my wife thinks I am nuts. Thoughts? please be honest!
