offthefront, fortunately the guy JUST replaced the manifolds; not sure whether he did the risers and elbows but I think he did the elbows also. BUT, he also raised the price by $2,500 since he did the manifolds and both alternators.
Mopower, yeah see? SBCs are worth SOMETHING over BBCs I'm gonna start another thread to get everyone's thoughts on the SBC vs BBC idea
I'd like to have aluminum manifolds but not sure how they hold up to salt water?
This sucks seeing a bunch of boats but none of them scream Buy Me! I've already signed up for a storage spot and Columbus Day Regatta is getting closer...

I just read somewhere that when the 496 goes away ( and it will) ...MERC will produce a Big Cubic Inch small block ...

Also noticed they are running crossovers on those small blocks ... which is not a bad thing ... you just need to watch the temps and pressure... I'm going back and forth on the motors I am building now ....
