I have the 353 3.5 lbs boost running 83 mph at 4800 rpm ...I wouldn't trade this boat for anything except maybe a outerlimits ...but dollar for dollar I would put her up against any boat...taking her apart form some piston r&r and minor upgrades to put 5lbs ,big injectors head and cam upgrades..... she runs real strong in big lake erie water

RIPPEM (always liked your boat)
I bought from Dave at M.M.great guy... formula was very good with my boat because the 1 st 2 years I owned it (even onAir Docks) the graphics kept bubbling off the gel they repaired the paint in 02/03 repainted the complete boat in 04 with the newer formula racing design....

245 limited
You don't tell alot of people you actually know Mark do you?
Just a question since you and mark are good friends did he ever wear a skirt around you? just curious......

Thanks.

I talked to Dave about your boat, and another 353 later on (the Bayport 496 boat). Super nice guy.

I knew you had some issues with paint or gelcoat at one time then lost track...
glad to hear Formula stepped up and took care of it.

Your boat is "Lucaya" colors right?

I really liked the Gold level "scallop" design, that's what yours was originally right?

Formula tried extension boxes on the 353 for awhile and as far as I have heard it did not make any huge difference in speed or performance to the step hull ...usually the boxes help with stability and getting a better x dimension from my understanding but the 353 did not respond liked Formula had hoped and for the cost to install and upgrade was not worth the $$$

The benefit of boxes on a 353 may not be huge, but the difference is definetly there.Every blue motor 353 we have ordered since about 2000 has had them, even tho they are not listed as an option on the website, they are available. Our customers seem to prefer them, that why I order them. It also makes a used 353 seem more desirable, part of that is real results, part of it is the perception. My thoughts are on a high dollar boat that sells for over 250K,another 10K is not that big a deal. 353's without boxes run great, the boxes just add a little more performance and desirability.
