Default My first Big Boat Project.....

Hey guys,so this is going to be my first big boat project, for me anyways.I'm sure not as big as some of you have done.So here's what i'm going to do as soon as spring comes and we get warmer weather, and I can get my trailer back from Sloman ....Here's the list

1) Paint the lower units of the out drives Satin Silver.
2) Paint Rub Rail White and new SS inserts.
3) Paint cabin hatches white.
4) Uprade the stereo,bigger amps,subs etc...
5) Build a removeable 2ft extension for the vberth.
6) Change the square gauge bezzels to the updated round ones. Also thinking of getting them in black???
7) Non skid tape on the swim platform(yellow).

Here are some pics, also does anyone know what size the stock gauges are so i can order the bezzels in advance. My boats all wrapped up my boat lift. And do you think black would look good???

Sounds fun,,,,, except for the v-berth extension idea. I don't know about that plan. The one in the picure is pretty goofy looking. Plus, you have back rests that will be in the way. I dunno, lets see what ideas you come up with.

By the way pshannon, your boat looks real nice. I like the paint job, fresh and different. Yellow is cool in my book anyday.

Thanks thats what i'll get then, that way i don't have to worry about matching the color...The vberth could be a little tricky but i'm going to try,I'd like to do some overnighting this season and could use another foot off the end of it to make it comfy,so we'll see.Any other ideas that you guys could think of that could help would be great.

Paint your handholds and cupholder plates and replace the cupholders with some new ones.

I'm doing the hatches and rubrail now also. Good luck.

Hey Treads, keep me/us posted on your hatch/rubrail process. I know Russ (Formula Outlaw) got a lot of us looking into it, but since you're tackling this now I'd like to hear how it goes for you and exactly which paint & cleaning process you use.
i also want to get some ideas for the plastic vents. I might try the Krylon navy blue on the side vents and stay with white on the forward-facing vents.

I did the forward facing vents in the same white and it turned out great.
