Default Factory Tour

A few weeks ago I called down to the Formula factory and asked if they give tours. They said sure, when would you like to come! So my wife, son & myself were given a 2 1/2 complete tour of the plant. Extremely interesting. There must have been 50 hulls of all models in various stages of production. I was very impressed with entire process and can descibe it in greater detail if anyone is interested.

I took a few photo's I'll try to attach.

I have been in lots of types of factories, including Holiday Rambler, and Active Thunder.

You could smell fiberglass from the moment we stepped in the door. The plant is huge.

How about these engines!!!

A few last shots. Again very interesting to see boat being built from ground up & understand whats in all those areas you can never see later. There were several 48' cruisers in production, that was fun to see.

I drove by there a few years ago. It was on a Sunday so no tour for me. Even the outside of the building is impresive compared to a lot of manufacturers I have seen.

The coolest part is the intense pride on the part of the employees. When I went through the plant a few years ago, I was really impressed by how much they went out of their way to explain to me what they were doing, how they did it and why they did it a certain way. They are really involved in the process, not just mindlessly waiting for quitting time.

That, more than anything else, made me glad that I had purchased a Formula.
