Here is a chart that another OSO member put together for the 382 fastech. I have used it and seems to work well. For and SR1 straight hull I would subtract 5 mph. So with that said a 382 SR1 with 500's and a light load would run around 68 to 69 mph.

382 with 500's ---- 382 with 525's

light -- heavy ---------- light -- heavy

74 ---- 70 --------------- 78 ---- 74

add or subtract
_______________

labbed props +1 to +2

ITS +1

Stellings +2

Dump Corsa +2 (open exhaust)
on ITS and Stellings

Fresh water -1,-2

altitude -1 per 1000 ft

Hot and humid -1 to -3

Were the 23's Mirages? If they were, I would go with 24 Bravos. Should improve slip and pull your rpm down slightly.
