Mixed feelings here, I like to watch the gauges but in reality would it not be better to spend your time watching the water and traffic ahead? As long as you can rely on the smartcraft alarm system to tell you when something is really wrong.

guages can be noted to be "OK" at a glance !
I don't "watch" them ever...only check them, big difference
it's the Smartcraft type installations that are the real distraction!

?? I have no trouble at all seeing what is on the screen, even in direct sunlight. Maybe in your experience it was mounted too far away and the brightness is turned down. Or could be a sign of old... ah, nevermind...

I bought the photo shoot 08 353,the only gauges are a pair of Livorsi Monster Tachs, nothing else as far as gauges.Everything else is in the SC5000 Race monitor. Am I just a dinosaur here? Does nobody want real gauges? What does Merc have against gauges? I don't want to scroll up and down to see fuel level, oil pressure, water temp, etc,on a small digital screen,I want to see gauges. Am I in the minority here? Are most performance boaters happy with the new technology? If so,I will shut up and look at the real gauges in my 1968 Switzer Just venting in my old age I guess
hmmm .. lets see ...BMW a month ago ....this week a 08 382 ......life is good ?

Sorry, have to wait for Formula's approval and they haven't given it yet.I'm working on it. Reminds me of many, many years ago when the new cars were ready to be introduced evey fall. We would sneak around the dealerships and try to see the new models that were covered up on a back lot,but rarely were we able to see them. There was mystery in the 50's,today nobody cares. Maybe I'm lost in the 50's,but I will say that the 08 graphics are pretty cool.
