Default Anyone live near Tulsa OK

I came across a 85 272 ls in Tulsa. I live on LI in NY. Anyone know a reputable mechanic that can look @ the boat for me. I would hate to drive 1500 milesand find out is no good.
Thanks

Default Tulsa

Im in Tulsa... I dont know of any mechanics here in town.. I keep it at a local lake called "Grand Lake" about 45minutes north east of Tulsa.

The Formula dealer there is Arrowhead Yacht Club.

I would be glad to help you with whatever i can, but I am not very mechanically inclined when it comes to engines.

Is the boat worth that kind of expense of driving? Is the trailer also an 85 model? Seems like you could find something closer in that year range..fuel alone plus repairs on the trip would sure eat up any leftover funds from a good deal. Im in tulsa..

It is a good deal but I am reconsidering it. I liked the boat but wasn't to keen on the seller and its to far to drive if I dont trust him. The trailer is pretty new and appears to be in good condition, but that is based on pics. Thanks for alll the help. But waterboy I think your right.
Thanks,
Matt

I drove all the way to damn near canada to get mine but its because we have a VERY slim performance boat market here unless you're buying a fountain or formula and want to look like every other boat out here..im sure up there you can find almost any boat within a short drive..
