Default Trailer Trim Switches 2001, 312 Fastech!

Does any one know if the trailer trim switches are suppose to
work independently or work together? If I press the left switch
both drives work together up and down. If I press the right switch both drives work together up and down. Obvious the
drive trim switches do work independently. But I thought last
year when I took delivery of the boat last September 2006
from the dealer, and only was able to use it twice before
winterization and storage. My wife and I swore that both
drives were working independently when operating the trailer
trim drives! Please note that the dealer had pulled both drives
off for routine maintenance last full.

Thanks for thr Help

someone will chime in I'm sure, weekends are a little slow on web traffic in the formula section, if you need a quicker answer ask in the general discussion thread in the main area

My 292 Fastech works the same way. No matter which trailer switch you press both drives are activated and the trim switch controls only the selected drive (except for the trim switch located at the throttle that drives both drives). I guess this is because of the external hydraulic steering.

My 2003 292 works differently - Each trailer switch only controls the respective drive.

However....even with EVERY breaker and switch turned off, my port-side trailer switch will still operate the port-side drive trim pump. Stardboard side is dead with everything off.
