Fastech stainless rub rail question
A moron in his big POS cruiser bumped my 292 Saturday while it was docked at a restaurant on the river. Saw the whole thing. My brother even got a picture while it happened that I will post. I was not a happy camper. Anyways... I now have a dent in a section of the stainless steel rub rail. It is on the port side and fortunately a long (probably 15') section that is straight can be replaced. These people are paying for it. I will replace the entire section and want to make sure it looks EXACTLY like new. Anyone know the manufacturer and part number? I imagine it will require special shipping due to the length. What is the best method for cutting the rub rail to assure a nice, clean edge? Thanks.

You can call Formula.
TACO will likely have a cross section that is the same. I cut mine with a fine tooth hacksaw blade and it worked well. U just cut it a CH long then used a belt sander to get it the rest of the way.

Rail pricing isn't bad, but shipping is %&@! expensive...
It is a TACO product - you might get lucky at a local marine store.

Thanks guys. I called Formula and it is available in 20' sections for $200 and shipping is around $80. The guy that ran into our boat just mailed me a check for $300. Thanks for the cutting tip. I will install it in the off-season.
