1985 Formula 242 SR1?
Hello all,
I am in the market for my 1st performance boat. I am going to look at a 1985 Formula 242, the seller claims it is a SR1. I didn't think it was offered as an SR1 until later in production (1987). Anyhow it has a new interior and original gel and graphics, twin 5.7 litre LX270 Mercs (non counter rotating) with silent thunder exhaust. I don't know how many hours are on it. Are there any problem areas to look for? The seller is asking $11900 without trailer, is this a reasonable price for this year and model?

I am pretty sure all SR1's had bolsters, I know the bigger models did in 85, Seems about right on the price but hit em low, boats are hard to sell right now so you can prob get it cheap..
