Default 357 Bravo conversion update...

Well, I think I have this thing dialed in...After a complete transom replacement and coversion to Bravo from the TRS set-up I'm happy to say that the boat is faster, lighter, and way more fuel efficient! I have it set up for cruising with 26" Bravo ones. The drives are 5 3/4" below the running surface. Top end is only 64.8 but that is at 4400 rpm's. I took it to Canada from Cleveland 74 miles and Last year on a flat lake I burned 110 gal. This year after the conversion I burned 58 gal. on a flat lake. I believe that this dramatic difference was the set-up before was so bad, and the new set-up is so much better. Cruise is out of this world for a lead sled. @ 3000 rpm I going 42 mph. 3400 I'm do 50. I would like to try a set of 24's but nobody here has a set. I may just end up labbing the 26's. I'm not going to race the thing I just live on it on the weekends. The job took almost 600 hour over the winter but it sure was worth it!

man that is fast for 3000-3400 rpm!!! Are you sure your speedo works fine??? mine, at 3000 rpm = 30 mph and 34000 runs barely above 35-36... when I get to 4000 rpm then it goes faster but it is hard to believe
! Good for you!

It's all on GPS Jeff...the 525sc's might have something to do with it also! Remember that it doesn't go 70 like I had hoped...Maybee someday I'll get it on a rushing river just to feel the speed! Hey Car biz You get that KAMA boat? If I were looking I would have wet myself when I came across that one!
