Unscrew the shaft nut till it's flush with the end of the shaft ( to proect the threads).Sit in the driver's seat and position your knees on each side of the wheel,pull up with your legs and hit the shaft end with a hammer.If you have a helper,he can pull up on the wheel while you hit it it.

Ahhh yes, the ubiquitous hammer. When the right tool isn't available, the hammer always is.

And if the regular hammer fails to work, simply get the big one.

Always wise to not allow the helper to use the hi-tech equiptment.

Like they say "Ain't nothing a man can't fix, with a bigger hammer".

Just to be sure I've got the procedure straight;
You have the helper pull on the wheel,
You hit him with the hammer,
And it's the reaction to the hammer strike that jerks the wheel off?

I knew I shouldn't have used "buddy" and "hit it" in the same sentence. Now you are talking about jerking something off.We may get this thread moved to the UC section Seriously tho,I know there are wheel pullers available,just never needed one.Recently removed the original wheel from my 1967 Switzer project,and that boat had been sitting in a field for 30 years.Course I loosened the nut with an Alabama socket wrench (vice grips)

Hope you didn't think I was busting on you Magic. Hell, my collection of hammers are my favorite tools. If I can't fix it with a hammer at least I can take out my aggressions on it.
