What is the thread size for the waste pump out receptacle on the rear of the transom of the boat. I need to have my tank pumped out, and the local port a let guy said he would do it for free, but he only has a hose with a 2" male cam lock fitting.

What do I need to buy to adapt from 2" male camlock to the threads on the waste plug port.

I tried to pump out with mascerator, but I could not get it to work. Don't know what the problem is. I could hear it making noise, but no discharge. I double checked the valves in the engine hatch, but sitll nothing. The light in the bathroom says it is full.

If the masc is out, what a ****ty job to change!

You dont need threaded end. You just hold the rubber end of suction hose into hole until done pumping. Thats how its done on all boats.

His hose does not have a rubber end. It has a 2" aluminum cam lock.

I would like to stay clean during this procedure. Especially being that the waste in the tank has been there for almost a year, and was deposited by the previous owner.

You need a Noz-All. I have one, and it works PERFECTLY for both tapered-rubber and CamLoc hoses. You probably want the 1-1/2" thread size. Almost every boat store has them.

The Wye valve needs to be in the overboard position for the macerator to work. The macerator pumps do not last forever. 2 years was about it on my commercial boat in salt. The pumper guy ca just hold the camlock against the open pumpout hole and it will empty the tank. I would have a hose in the toilet while he is pumping to flush tank completly.

I went to a local supply house, and brought over the plug to the waste receptacle on the rear of the boat. I wanted to match the threads on the waste plug.

The plugs are 1 1/2 o ring threads. I got an adapter that goes from 1 1/2 o ring to 1 1/2 male npt threads. I then got a 2" cam lock female fitting that will accept my local port a let truck's vac hose.

Tomorrow is the day to pump out a year old, someone else's rotten, festering waste. With my adapter, and a little teflon, shouldn't spill a drop.

I plan to run a fire hose in the toilet, and fill the tank several times, to clean it out, and kill the smell.

What a nightmare. Not looking forward to changing the macerator. I opened the valve to overboard discharge, and the pump would not prime. I guess it has a big log stuck in it.

I will have to tackle it on a good day, or just use my adapter.
