Default 353 owners! need measurement of cabin!

I have an 89 F 35-7. Was looking pretty much only on 382's for my next boat.... reason was cabin. But I measured mine tonight.

I have 6 feet long in the V-berth, towards bow, I also have 6 feet (even 6 and a half) long in '' lounge'' area where I can sleep, and another 4 and half feet of counter, closet and all that in the last part towards the cockpit.

Trying to figure out the cabin space in a 353 to see if I could accomodate my whole family.

Can someone measure also their cabin in the 3 sections I just mentionned please? My cabin in total is roughly 16-17 feet long.

Thanks

Funny! I can't buy a 353 before knowing if my 4 girls can sleep in there!

Been on a couple of 353 and I dont think that are even close to the size of yours. The older boats are bigger than the newer ones. Stick to the 382. Just my two cents.

I see in your avatar you have a 419?

I also looked at those. What would (where would) be the difference with mine? Is your cabin higher than mine? longer than 16 feet? or if your cockpit is bigger? maybe cockpit is not bigger because you have triples?

Your 357 is 35 ft 7 inches and then the platform is bolted on.....the 353 is 35 ft 3 inches INCLUDING the swim platform. My 382 is 38 ft 2 inches INCLUDING the swim platform making it closer to your 35 1/2 ft plus aprox. 2 ft swim platform boat. (37 1/2 total)

yeah but sometimes they could maybe strenghten the cabin and shorten the cockpit? That's why I was curious about the lenght division inside...

for example, if a 353 is in reality let's say 333 of hull, that is 2 feet shorter than mine, so where did they take this 2 feet off? cabin only? cockpit only? or 1 foot in each?

if the cockpit is smaller, but cabin like my boat, a 353 could then do the job. if it is only in cabin, then I could not (I guess) fit my family in there... That's why I'm looking for exact measure...

I get mine out this week and can give you some measurements then. But the biggest difference for sure would be the size of the sunpad approx 7 ft. I was tied up to a 353 at a overnight destination and the cabin is alot smaller than mine. Overall height is different as well. Mine is about 68-70 inches I would guess. Iam 6 2 and have to bend my neck some. Any other questions feel free to ask. mark

this was exactly my first idea. I once asked the m for the wiring diagram of a 1985 35-7 I had and they supplied it to me with an hour from my request! Super fast and great customer service!

But as far as measurement goes.... I felt like I did not want to bother them with this ridiculous small info, and figured someone here would know it!

But if I don't get it here, I'll follow your suggestion!
