336 owners - I need feedback on 3 blade prop use
I have a 336 which currently has 4 blad bravos on 1.36 gears
the boat came originally with 3 blades and showed it's best speed aparently with them
a couple with more power than me have 3 blades currently
question: will mirage 14" diameter be big enough, or do I need Mirage plus 3 blades
also, what about stilleto 3 blades, are they as good as mirage, or can they be labbed to perform the same
a couple good deals in classifieds I am checking out
thank

My drives are 1:50 , 25P Mirage. 502 Mag EFI. I get 71.5 on GPS at 5100 rpm. I know your ratios are diff. , maybe you can compare these numbers and come up with something. Good luck.

I had a 32 Velocity a few years back that I ran with both 1.36 and 1.50 gears. When switching from one to the other it took 3" of pitch to equal out. This was with 4 blade Hydros, might be different with 3 blades, but should be a starting point. The smaller pitch goes to the 1.36 gear set.
