My port trim tab switch decided to call it quits yesterday...my port tab is stuck fully down.
My boat is a 2001 271 with Bennett tabs.
Are these switches the "military rocker switches" sold through Livorsi @ $41/ea (single pole, double pole)?
Also, on my trim panel, I have the switches for the tabs and two more....one for drive trim and the other for "trailer". As a temporary fix, can I swap the trim or trailer switch with my broken tab switch?
Thanks,
Jeff

Swap away. On a Volvo boat the "Trailer" switch is redundant anyway.
Make sure you have the Formula Owners manual notebook(s) with the wiring schematics. They are VERY handy, and can help you in these situations. When one of my switches died, I figured out how to jump a couple of contacts and get the tab into a neutral position to get home...
