Default Fall Performance Numbers (382 w/ 600's)

58 degrees, 1/3 tank fuel, 2 people on board.

5262 port, 5345 stb. 84.0 mph (I have a picture, but it wont let me post?) A run before (no picture for proof) showed 5350, 5450 @ 85.4mph. Then it hits the rev limiter. What is the rev limit for Mercury Racing 600's? I didnt think it was that high.

What props are you running?
I've got a tad over 600hp but have propped my boat for mid-range. 2 sets: 15.5 28P Maximus and 15.125 30P Maximus props both spin about 5,250 at 83 this time of year. I tried a set of labbed 30P Bravos that ran 86 at 5,600 but the mid-range sucked.

t500 what was your mid range no#'s 28P vs 30P prop? I would think you would see better mid range perfomance with the 30P.

Although the pitch is different, the 28's have a 1/2 inch larger diameter. The props were tested 3 different days in varying conditions. At 3,500 rpm's the 28P Max were from 54-57, the 30P Max were from 55 to 58.....usually 1 mph faster and were 0.1 mph faster WOT at nearly the same rpm (within 50r's)

BTW: I have a set of 32 Bravo's worked into about a 32.5 that cruise the same as these. They only spin about 5,050 rpm's but also at 83.

Im honestly not sure. They are whatever stock props on this boat are. They are however not stamped with a pitch. They are dinged up a bit and I still had some throttle left before hitting the rev limit. I know the boat has a bit more in her

I was told they came with 15.625 diameter 28P Maximus with the difuser ring still attached.....and that is basically what I'm running. If they have any visible damage you really need to get them fixed for best performance!!!

Oh yeah, its not bad but it is noticeable. We need to have them fixed, but also maybe go up a pitch for more speed? Seems like the power is there

Maybe I need to start another thread but.......I'm running 630hp, 700tq and have a set of 15 5/8 28P MAX, and a set of 15 1/8 that run almost exactly the same rpm/speeds (5,250 at 83). I noticed the 30's seem to loose bite on the water in 2-3 ft chop. Is the blade size too small causing it to "miss" the water. I noticed the rpm's would jump about 300r's every so often.
