Nope...strong leads as to where they are....but nothing conclusive.

I say unless something dramatic develops over the weekend ...it's time to move on.

So this weekend i am going to do some cleaning and prep on the 255 and be on ready to finalize all of this by the end of the week...it's time.

OK...DAMN what hell the past few weeks have been.

Anyway...getting with Diego tomorrow to get T/A's and a Bravo I. Oil Coolers are on the motors. i have worked out an arrangement with Billy Flint that finishes everything up...he is a serious stand up guy...and is as sick over this whole pile of $hit as I am.

The plan is for all of this to come together next week

Stay tuned....happy times are on the way!!

Just caught this news.

So sorry to hear. Mines tucked away in my back yard but any time some one drives slowly down our street in a car I don't recognize....., or a strange person at the door etc, etc.
I figure I'm being cased.

I have a buddy in Miami that just got ripped off. He had a custom, black market off road/street bike w/a 500cc two stroke motor in his house w/a lock through the wheels.
They cut the lock and took the bike as well as everything else worth anything.

Cops figure it's rings paying look outs (probably kids) for leads.

As has been said...security is a state of mind. You can only do so much to protect yourself from loss due to theft...but do all you can I'm getting Drive Locks, Prop Locks, a Boot for the trailer and I'll probably think of something else. In my case...these bastards knew what they were looking for...came in under the ruse of looking for something else and saw my Transom Assemblies on my boat. They watched the habits of opening and closing the business several days in a row...established a pattern and came back within an hour after closing to get what they needed. Someone benefited from my equipment at my expense.

We move on...

OK...while Diego and I were together yesterday I acquired from him 2: totally refurbished Bravo Transom assemblies and a very nice "Fresh Water" Bravo I drive along with new bolts and mounting hardware. I went by the shop Friday and Billy was finishing up installing oil coolers on both engines.

So lets see...2: engines...2: Bravo Transom Assemblies....2: Bravo I drives...2: Drive Trim Pumps and one boat...I think it's time to do this

As of today...April 1, 2013. All parts are in the shop waiting to go in the boat. The engines are sitting with 2: new oil coolers waiting to be plumbed and installed...otherwise done. Two 1997 Bravo I Drives and 2 Bravo Transom assemblies are on the stands ready to install. The 255 is in my driveway waiting to tow to the shop to receive all of the above.

Had a project meeting with Billy this afternoon. There is a 38 Baja from VA. receiving a $20K engine swap over the next 3 days. After that...I'm next. We figure two days to install, tune and work thru the little BS issues we know that will jump up that we will encounter. We are going to start with Mirage Plus 23" counter rotating props.

We're into unknown territory with this one guys. even though I will save 300 lbs I will add back 150 total with the Bravo's vs the Alphas so I figure 5500 dry. Add 600# fuel and 500# passenger load I am at 6600# in the water. We got 410 horse at 5000 with headers and I am taking back 25 with stock exhaust so lets double 385 and call it 770 in the water. Torque is going to be at about 850 Ft Lbs. So we are at 8.6 # per horsepower...impressive for a loaded number.

Using Marc Berman's BAM speed calculator we are looking at a theoretical 77 MPH top speed at 5000 RPM. Cut the fuel load in half and with one aboard 80 is a realistic possibility.

However...in the real world...the props aren't labbed and the wind will play a factor along with the "Size of Testicle" factor. I will be very happy to see 70 MPH during the first few weeks of testing...but moreover...I'm looking for 55~60 at 4000 and that I think is a very realistic expectation. A cruise of 45 on the primaries of the Double Pumpers will be a dream come true.

Diego is seeing 27 MPH at 2200 RPM with what we are guessing is a very close power to weight ratio with his 272 SR-1 running 25" Mirage props. Can the 255 get there with Hi torque SBC's in a boat that's 1000#s lighter?

Maybe...stay tuned.

TIC....TOC...

The 255 ran 65 with 23" Cleavers at 5400 with the 260's or what ever they were that I took out.

What props are you turning?
