Mike I still have those pics...I always admire your work and can really appreciate even more now. It really is a damn shame that the owner of that 255 never really took advantage of what you did. If it's any comfort, I am using the cockpit concept you created as a model for mine.

Hey John, hopefully things are going well with you and your significant other. Is the wiring done on her yet? When do think the next run will be? Oh, and hope your wife is doing well also.....
I forget if I asked or not, what is up with carbs? Did you run your quadrajets or is there something else on the motors? I am going to order at least one rebuilt one from national for the $270 unless you still have some to sell. No pressure! LOL.
hmm, I guess I could also post in the WTB section, who would have thought of using something like that.
Can't wait to see video of you running your beast, best of luck!

at this point with everything else going on I am going to run the Big Block QJ's I have for a while. They seem to work well enough but I do see 750 Double Pumpers on the near horizon.

OK...motors are finally BACK in...lined up perfectly and ready to go. Now it's time to put the cockpit back together and get this Old 'Bird back in action. Make note of how much room I still have between the Crank driven Raw Water Pumps and the batteries. I can see how these boats easily accommodated TRS transmissions and Big Blocks with all the room fore and aft.

I was just thinking about your project, the engines look great and still plenty of room for work even spark plugs.

Thanks for the words. The big difference in space I see is between the old "Log" style exhaust manifolds and the new "Center Riser" style...about 100 lbs lighter per engine as well.

Wow looks Great. I am redoing a 1986 32' Baja and I am looking for the Black Plastic Molding that goes across the bottom of the windshield to cover the screws and across the upper inside of the windshield to cover the channel the 360 light wiring runs in. It has 3/4 ' Across the bottom to cover screws and 1/2' across the top to cover wiring. Any Idea's as to where I could find them? Thanks for the help.

Well...I didn't get to fight the Memorial Day Weekend crowds with the 255 this year but next weekend I think we're on the water. All that's left is Drives and fluids, re focus everything and take it home. I will spend the better part of the day putting the interior back together and that should wrap this phase up.
Meanwhile...I am working on T shirts for my wife and myself...here is a prototype. What do you guys think?
