Thinking about painting the black dash on my 95 303 white to update the boat a little. Everything on this boat looks brandnew but when parked next to a 98 or newer boat the dash really makes it look dated. Any Formula owners did this or thought about it?

Default Redone Dash

I did away with old and redid with new plastic. I think it looks great. Of course your boat is newer but Im sure you can find a plastic shop to help.
I'm attaching a photo. I feel paint will chip and peel, maybe as soon as you reattach guages. You have a class boat don't cheapen it. I'm sure Formula can supply you with updated parts. The plastic only cost me $20.

Default black dash

I also have a 303 with a black dash. The black actually cuts down the glare off the windshield. My last boat (1997 Falcon) had a white dash and I couldn't see well through the windshield. Too much glare off the white dash. I had an upholstery shop make up a grey dash cover for me to cut down on the glare.

I like the black dash on my 303. It's the correct color for that boat. (You wouldn't change the dash on a 67 vette, would you?)

But those black aluminum steps get damn hot!!!

Get in touch with Phantom. He redid his FastTech and it looks much better. I know he has pictures up some were.

This winter I plan to update to white plastic and Graffrigs, but leave the dash itself black. My VDO's in my1989 are beginning to look a little shabby.
By the way Toolman , I did put a tan top on my 75 vette , even though 75's never came that way. Red with tan int. looks better with the tan than the original black.
