Default What's '99 271 FasTech with a HP500EFI worth

I have a '99 271 with all the options except pump out head, it has a HP500EFI on a customer Vanguard trailer. I will probably be selling it this fall, what is it worth?

It is in very good condition, some minor trailering rock dings but other than that it is in great shape. Full covers and tops with curtains, upgraded graphics, 6 disk stereo, so on and so on

How many hours are on it? Is this the boat that had the knock in the engine? If so , what did the problem end up being?
Thanks -Craig

about 160 actual hours, idiots at a marina left the ignition on when they were winterizing it a few years ago for 5 days and it shows 250.

Yes this this the one with the knock, ended up needing the number 7 piston changed, it was burned. Block was ok, cylinder honed up fine, heads were done while they were off. All the valve springs were checked (per my request thank you OSO members) and they were all within Merc HP specs. It also has a new set of lifters in it as that is what the mechanic thought the problem was at first. Haven't had a chance to run it since fixed as the alternator was not working when I put it in. SHould have everthing back in working order this weekend.

The little bit I ran it (10 minutes), it felt strong as new, no knock.

Just for the record, I have been searching the web for used 271's, prices run from a low of 55,900 for '98 with a 454 mag and 400 hours to a high of 77,900 for a 2001 502 mag with 29 hours.

The only one with a HP500 was a 1998 for 67,500

Just went to the Formula website and priced my boat (with the options I have) if it was new today, holy crap $142,250, that's over $40k more than I paid in '99 without the custom trailer.

Think the used value went up the much also? I think not!
