Diesel?
We obviously have a lot of Chevy hot rodders here. I am as well. I also like diesel though and am curious if anyone has taken on a home hotrod diesel marine project.
There are lots of things that can be done to a Cummins 5.9 and I'd like to see what 900 pounds of torque can do in a boat.
Any links or stories would be appreciated.

Yes, you're right. He has a 42 or 47 that they put triple Yanmar 420's in. I saw a good write up in Boating Mag on this.
They compared two of the same hulls with Mercury power and Yanmar power. It confirms what I was thinking.
With the right diesel set up, you can run close to WOT all day, getting better fuel economy, better cruising speed, and less rebuilds.
The only thing I didn't like about the comparison was that they didn't test with similar drives...
I play around with this idea some day... when I hit the lottery...
