I had a new bimini and full enclosure made locally for my 272 in 2001. Sunbrella top and rear curtain with window. Plastic in front and on sides. PLUS screens for the side. All for $1000.
Looks and fits super nice.
Only reused original Formula frame.
The screens can be a real life saver if you plan to spend any overnighters. Plus it gives you lots of usable , bug free , cockpit space .

MOPOWER post a pic on your bimini!!!!!!!!
I've been trying to figure out what was on mine B-4 I got it and nothing makes sense.
Winterized this week. SUX !
Thinking of drive showers, any thoughts?
Been upgrading stereo this week. Can't hear my tunes with 40 watt deck unit and 3 speakers.........so I figured it was time. Replaced 4 and added 2, 1 sub and external amp.
Neighbors noticed the difference so I guess it was an improvement,,ya think?

Opie,
No digital camera yet...only have pix and no scanner. It wouldn't do any good anyway because I don"t know how
Slingshot's about two miles from me...let me see what he can do.
I really should pick up a glove and get in the game with a digital camera. The only damn trouble...every time I buy something like that , 2 weeks later there's something better available
I hope to have my new 540's by the end of the year and I definitely want to post them with the engines

Opie,
Exactly what do you want to know? I could probably help out as I did move my bimini slightly to suit me.
Push comes to shove , Ill try to explain verbally and perhaps take a couple of regular camera shots and snail mail them to you if that's a help. I think my sollution was pretty . But thats just my opinion
Cal.

Holy Chit batman That was fast.
I have 2 eyes in front of the windshield and 2 eyes by the rear deck with 2 sets of mounts spaced out evenly along the gunnels.
My thoughts were to have a short 4 bow top made. the front set of mounts securing the front two bows and the rear mounts supporting the rear 2 bows. That way I have a 4 bow bimini .......but 2 mounting areas so as to not have a pontoon boat look.
Make the top 8 foot long. Have it made so as to remove the front 2 bows from the mounts with quick release pins. This way be able to stow with the back bows lik a "normal" bimini.
Does this make sense?
I just don't know how high to make the top without being the "BUGGY LOOK"
I'm tired of cooking when we sit and ,,,,eat, drink and be merry.
But the Anchor shade just doesn't fit my style.
I store enough "STUFF" on my rig as it is.
Another item to stash is just NOT in my list of "things to do"

Cuda,
You would die If you saw mine with the full enclosure
My cuz has a 42' Fountain and saw mine to for the first time last sept. after a thunderstorm . He raced back to the marina and I was dry . He thought it looked pretty damned good
I usually only use the top when rafted up...ya know , it does get hot up here too , sometimes
