Default 1998 353 with Lingenfelter

Hello, does anyone know anything about this boat?

=AZVIl2Ap6GibAe9aoYkqn9Yt1oT06y4k1WdXCnZTM6RRvPJpr GU5evkNrz1LO11vyMbmDALQzk43wjD4gGGZGKhSA2LQrVYVzVs T9di_ed_f7S6saidAbsbf0cRF67_pvS7ACFt5zeGMwoMUBZACq UWK&__tn__=-UK-R]https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/239521808450898/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type =post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ab95dd5c0-e461-4dcd-8a2b-73f25cfe269d

I found it on Marketplace by searching formula boat

It looks similar to this boat under the wrap:

https://moreboats.com/boats/formula/353/397510

I found it on Google by searching for 1998 formula with Lingenfelter

Add on marketplace states 381 hours. My Rinda scan tool shows 593 hours. Owner states motors may have been rebuilt? He seems like an honest guy and may have been told the boat was only freshwater use by the previous owner.

Thank you for any information.

That boat was in the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda Florida area, I was interested in looking at it but it was being sold through a broker at the time who could not answer any of my questions I had other than the owner was from the north east area(I think Boston) and was a snow bird I do know it was lift kept and been in Florida for a couple of years this was his florida boat and he had another boat at his home up north and he had a guy service the boat but did not know how often. Every time I tried to schedule a showing he was busy and by the time we could get together to look at it the owner moved the boat up north and sold it there. This was about two years ago I cant remember how long he had it for sell in Fl. I hope this helps you out .
Thanks, Chris

Thank you for the information! I did not buy the boat. I was concerned about the engine hours and the fiberglass engine mounting grid issues that other 353's have had. Also, I was not able to sea trial the boat.

I bought this boat. Hard to find any information on Lingenfelter. This is my second season with it and the motors are still strong. I did both compression and a leak down.

This is who you want to contact with any questions. I've used them on a few of our Corvette builds in the past and they are very friendly, as well as helpful.

I did call them. The girl who answered the phone told me to get the serial number they etched on the front of the heads and they should be able to look them up. I called back and spoke with someone in service and was told they have no information on them at all. My guess is they have it but not willing to look for the information on a discontinued product.
