Lost port side Thunderbird emblem
I couldn't believe it last night.
We just finished parking the boat and trailer in the driveway, after a spending the day at the St. Cloud races, went to start unloading things and there it was(n't). Didn't notice it missing after loading it on the trailer but then we were trying to get out of the way. Didn't want to be a ramp hog and it was very busy.
The lake got a little rough and we took a couple of hard hits that really shook things. I know I didn't hit anything on that side, not even a dock.
Oh well.
Anyone know where or how to obtain another one?
I plan on writing Formula to see what they can do.
Thanks guys.

I lost a couple of letters last year. Unfortunatly, they do not sell individual letters-you have to buy the whole set which was 45 dollars. The newer boats have different size letters than the older ones but I don't know about the Bird so make sure that you measure it before you order.

Audio, if you find'em let me know what you want for them. I'll be gald to take them off your hands.
The wife couldn't believe the "bird" emblem actually came off. All that's left is an out line in black from the adhesive.

had the same thing happen when i first got my 272.
showing off to the boys on my voyage run...running pretty hard.
got home and the bird was GONE!!!
ohhhh nooooo . i thought wife was going to have my hide if she saw it cause i broke our boat out with the boys without her!!!
I called formula all upset. they chuckled, said you could get one at any formula dealer. 20some bucks. self adhesive. i think the gunk is actually wax. it wiped off my boat real easy. left just enough to tell where to put the new one. fixed after the next day's long lunch hr run to the dealer and back.
phew, she never new.......
just measure the other one wing to wing, the newer ones are smaller than the 80's ones I think
us formula folk are so anal sometimes......

Well, at least I have a reason for my right side one coming off - I smashed it against a dock! (DOH!) It did a great job of sacrificing itself to save the gel coat, though..... Since I had only had the boat for about 4 months, the folks in Decatur replaced it for free.
BTW - Within the company their known as "Thunderchickens".
