Hey Outlaw,

Does yours have a small Fresh water sink in the salon?

If so, is it fed by a plastic tank stored towards the front?

I'm trying to figure out what years/models had the item I'm looking for to broaden my search.

Old Floating Bird -

I don't know if you're just researching 242s or not. But, our '83 272LS has the fresh water sink with the plastic bottle under the bed in the bow. Just FYI.

Bford,

Thanks! That's exactly where it goes on mine also.

I've had little luck in finding a replacement and obviously I'm in need of one for my 233LS.

As I'm trying to find anything that will fit, can you give me the approximate dimensions also (H, W, D) and capacity if known?

If possible, can you also send me a pic of it? Plz send it to: [email protected]

I'd also really like to know if the connector at the neck is of a "garden hose" type connection or other. (The picture will probably give me that.)

Again, I really appreciate your response.

OFB the 272 is winterized now so I woun't have access to take a pic of it until next season. But, I can snap a shot of it than. As far as dimensions go the only thing I remember for sure is that when it's full it't pretty heavy. I'll bet it's been 10 years since anyone ever filled the bottle with fresh water and used it.

I assumed this was a pretty standard part. You haven't had any luck in locating another one? I assume you've tried Formula.

Bford,

Tried Formula and got the original mfgr's info from them. They don't have replacements but pursued the original Mfgr info.

The mfgr was sold, then the factory burned down and all remaining assets went to a company that doesn't do that sort of thing anymore.

Any chance you'd part with yours (assuming it fits the space for mine)? I'll pay what it worth to you. The original owner of my 233 said it the space was of more use to him for other stuff and took it out, never to be seen again.

The wife gave me a few conditions upon purchase of the 233 and one was that it had fresh water. The girlfriend is a lot easier to please though... ;-)

LOL, yeah maybe. The 272 is actually my dad's. Mine is a 357. I don't think that my dad even has the bottle in the boat anymore. It may be sitting up in the house somewhere.

It will be next summer before I'd be able to do anything though. The boat and house are about 300 miles from where I live in San Antonio. Here's my email address. If you can wait I can check it out for you and at least get you the dimensions on it if dad's not wanting to part with it.
