A drive shower takes high pressure water and sprays it over the top of the drive to keep it cool.
As with any lubricated part, the cooler it runs, the longer it'll last.

Audio, I bought new showers.
Mine's working fine. The Charlynn pump gets real warm, but maybe that's normal. John is sending me the final plates and other stuff this week.

Cool. Are you running a steering cooler? If not that could be why you are getting so warm?

the drive showers are only needed on the top 90degree gear set of an outdrive. (bravo or alpha)
your kaamas are much more efficient with the strait cut gears in parallel rotation axis ( ie. they're in line)
