Question Kaama Water Temp Question

I JUST REPOWERED MY 357 KAAMA WITH GEN6 ROLLER502!THE WATER TEMP IS ALWAYS COLD WITH THE KAAMA SETUP BECAUSE OF NO TSTAT!HAS ANY BODY RETROFITTED A TSTAT DEVICE OR DOES ANY BODY KNOW A WAY TO GET TEMP UP SO THE MOTORS WILL LAST LONGER AND BETTER POWER!COLD TEMP CANT BE GOOD,THERE NEEDS TO BE A TRANSFER OF HEAT FOR THE MOTORS TO LAST!ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!

Mine doesn't have a t stat either. It has crossovers and the temp never gets up, unless a sea strainer is clogged.

How did the boot go on?

the boot went real well,it is a little shorterthan original but after some patience and some hot sun,we were finaly able to get it on.ii ran the boat with no more engine problems,finaly,but i think my last head problem was because of the drastic change in temp,the combustion chamber getting real hot whiched caused the valve seat to loosen and drop,this is why i need to figure out a way to keep the temp more consistant,even knowing the gauge doesnt change!i would hate to destroy another motor.soon as the boots come in ill send u one!

Yes, the newer boots are a little shorter. That's so they don't pinch when trimmed up. That's why I put it on the prop side as far forward (boat side) as possible.
