Hey Wags, nice looking 311. Is the black on the hullsides Imron or is it colored gel? That particular color combination and sceme is fairly unique.

Hey ThirdBird, thanks for the compliment. The black on the transom and where it wraps around the side by the formula logo is gelcoat. The rest of the colors on the sides are imron. If you want to see more pics goto the bulletin board, boats for sale area or the classifieds.

Wags,
Thats interesting that Formula used black gel on the back and black Imron for the forward black sections. How is the black gel color holding up as compared to the black Imron? I ask because gel is so much harder to maintain colorwise than paint is.

ThirdBird,
The black gelcoat deffinatly needs more attention than the imron. I wonder if Formula thought the imron would not hold up below the water line on the transom, although some of the imron on the side is slightly below the water line.

What does a 311 weigh? LOA with platform?

ontheh2o,
I believe the dry weight is approximately 7600 pounds and LOA is 33'6". Without the platform the hull is exactly 31'1".

You really notice the difference if you pull alongside a new "312". Our boats look six feet longer. And then go down into the cabin.
