You won't see another one like it, unless someone copies mine. That was one of the only special order paint jobs from the factory that year. A light blue was replaced with the black after a loooong discussion with the dealer, customer, and Formula. As it turned out, this was a boat that may have never been built if it wasn't for the negotiations about the paint!

I think there are other red ones around.

Thanks. Splash it for the first time on Friday. I'm expecting mid 60s tops. It has the 7.4LX MPI, I think 330hp so it won't be a rocket. But I didn't buy it for speed.

i spent some time on that boat..b4 you run it change the tips back to the stock ones..the ones on it were made in china and my friend was trying to market them...he still has the silent thunder..boat ran 66 with the 4 blades and 64 with the 5 blades which gave the boat better mpg and stayed on plane at 21 mph, @ like 2400 rpm's

Thanks for that info. I do plan on changing the tips. Well, I will at least turn them the way they are supposed to be.

i dont know if its possible to turn them because of the flappers if their even is any,,they may not even be sealed and i would check them..the old owner i believe just threw them on their to see what it sounded like so loosen one up and see if theirs any sealer on them..

jeff also changed the engine oil every 25 hours..he used mobile one 15w50 and wix filters...i think the engines are 300 hp because of the 1.65 drive ratio..
