Outlaw-

I am not sure if you mean what colors did we use or what type of paint, so here goes. The paint type was sherwin Willams automotive paint. We used the white sealer under the primer and base. On the rub rails we used a rubber adhesion chemical that allows paint to stick to rubber. This way the paint will never chip off. The colors are as follows, the teal is a GM base color with a white pearl, the Magenta is a GM color with a silver pearl, the Silver is dodge Ice silver metalic. the black is a Honda color with graphite pearl. I hope this answers your questions, if not let me know.

Don, thanks. What grit sandpaper did you use to sand the old stripes off? What was the name of the chemical you used to make the paint adhere to the rub rail? It sure did come out nice. Now I've got the "want to repaint the whole damn boat" bug real bad. But first, there must be new manifolds and risers. Mine are in tough shape. Thanks again. Russ

Russ-

We used 240 grit and then 320 grit sand paper on a DA and an air file. The product we used on the rub rails is
UPO7226 - Plastic Adhesion Promotor (Clear). This product sprays on easy and saves alot of time taking the rub rails off. Any other questions let me know.

Impressive. What did you apply to the railing to keep the paint off it? Sounds much better than trying to pull it.

Chart-

I think that you are talking about the front rails. I taped them off and painted the boat. When the paint dried I pulled it off. Just one thing. If you paint your boat make sure you do not leave the masking tape on the boat if it is in the sun. YOU WILL NOT GET IT OFF. It is hard enough toget off the day after.

Yes, I was talking about the front rails. I'd think neatly taping around all the angled supports touching the deck would be a bear. But, still better than pulling the headliner and getting at the nuts. Just hoped you had found a miracle product that made it easier. Thanks.
