Now the floor on the passenger side is damaged, looks like the motor must have come forward and hit the floor pretty hard. Someone tried to fix it but the floor does not match the other side. it seems to be higher towards the engine area. I will probably remove both floors anyways to look for rot. besides I want to drop the floor a little lower if possible. i will just have the driver seat on a base up high and walkaround space everywhere else.

I started filling holes on the transom. I drilled every accessory screw hole out with a 1/2 inch bit and epoxied a 1/2 Oak dowel back in each one leaving about a 1/4 inch for filling. AROUND 40 HOLES FILLED. I will go back tomorrow or Tuesday and feather the holes and fill with Marine-Tex. I was a little worried on some of the holes because of rot, so I drilled some test holes and found no rot. It seems to just be around the old screw holes. I may drill some holes towards bottom of the transom and inject with West epoxy just to make sure.

Hello,

Wife decided that money needed to be spent elsewhere so i had to put the project on hold. I am just getting ready to start again. After reading many posts and researching a lot of things I decided the transom is being replaced. I will also be removing the floor to inspect the stringers.

I purchased a Sea Ray 220 Midcabin Cruiser to keep me on the water.

I did some swapping and have two 454 engines, misc bravo items and other small parts.

I took a bet that I could get this boat up and running on twins. It will be a lot of work...

I have seen a couple of Liberators with twin BBC before. They will fit. look to go 34-35" centerline on engines and look at other Formula twin engine performance boats for "X" dimension. For your purposes a little low would be better than to high.
