A friend of ours just purchased a 242 ss with 454 mag and alpha drive. The 454 was rated at 330 hp. He was able to run 51 mph on the gps.
I had the same package in a 23 foot Concord the drive lasted 3 seasons before the upper gear set broke. But now there are heavy duty gear sets available.
