Well, I guess congrats are in order, I bought the boat today. The survey was very favorable, and the sea trial this morning could not have been better. What a ride. Anyhow, I attached a photo I didn't take because I won't be bringing her home till the weekend, but she's mine! 1989 242 SS, 7.4L/330HP w/Bravo1.

BTW, halffast, is this the "ocean" color you mentioned? And kjo, my cockpit layout looks identical to yours.
Unfortunately, buying a boat in October is a mixed bag. You get a good deal on the price, but it's just about time to winterize and put her to bed till spring. It's gonna kill me knowing she's in the garage all winter. I think I may get a weekend out of her but we're about out of sunny days up here in Washington.

And yeah, I DID almost buy a SunRunner 31. There is a story on those boats, was some guys that spun off of Sea Ray and started building boats in Spokane, WA. Very high quality boats but as pointed out, the last couple of production years have some QC probs, they eventually ran out of money. But prior to that excellent rep. That is how the story goes anyhow, guys that own these boats are at least as fanatic about them as any other crew.
This one had dual 468's/500HP with one hundred hours since repower, and other goodies including a really wild custom paint job (that I wasn't crazy about). Anyhow, the deal breaker was that I can't get a slip near here for 18 months, and I really don't want to leave her in the water anyhow. The boat was too big to trailer. That plus the insane paint job, we said no thanks.
However, the boat is currently owned by a bank, in the hands of a broker, all offers considered. I did mention it has a pair of low hour 468s...that's at least ten grand right there, right?
Here is the listing if anyone cares:
