Default Treadwells 382 factory 2 race boat

I recently stumbled onto Eric Treadwells 382 fastech that he won the world championship in 2000 with.Turns out the boat was stolen sometime after the 2000 season and was recovered in 2002 stripped of everything, motors ,drives, steering ect.I bought the bought in May and have started rebulding the boat.I live at the Lake of the ozarks so this will be a good home for it.Here is some of its history, this boat ran 95.6 with stock 500s in oct 2000 you can check this out on hydromotives web sight ,go to the news prop and go to the bottom of the page.It turns out this boat weighed 7800 lbs which is less than a 312 but 38 foot long. The boat is made out of kevlar not fiberglass which is stronger and lighter.I have built a pair of 572 cu natural aspirated motors for the boat and xr sportmasters.I am currently spinning a pair of labbed 32 bravos with 135 gears 5200, but dont have any idea how fast Im going. If anyone is interested in following my progress let me know and Ill get some pictures up.You can see the boat by searching f2-98 treadwell motorsports or silvercup series f2 factory racing. My goal is to get to the loto shoootout and put a formula that is doing over 100 mph, something you dont see every day, what do you guys think?

I will get some pictures up today,I have taken it out 2 times and have been working some bugs out,it turns 4500 rpms at half throttle ,which shows 74 on the speedometer which who knows where its really at it ,only go`s to 80 mph. I just got a gps off ebay so I will try and hook that up today and post some #s.I was able to outrun a yellow cat down here,it was all yellow with canipies but I think they were tuning also. The hull has had a bunch of work done on the bottom ,sitting next to my buddies 382 the chines are smaller and all the edges on the whole boat where sharpened, and the interesting thing was the x dimension is 2 inches higher.I bought a pair of hydromotive p5 for it,Eric told me that these hydros are faster on this hull only, but bravos maximus or p5x are better for 382`s that need to carry the bow weight,The boat hates trim, about 3 on the guage is it,my old 382 ran best at 7 which tells me with the high X the boat is just at its limits of holding the water so mabey the 5 blades will be the ticket, they couldnt run 5 blade props when eric was racing it though .Eric really know his stuff, he told me knock 10 mph off for no salt and sea level and because all world records were set on that day, it was perfect conditions. So we figured an honest mid 80s with 500s.When the boat is sitting in the water it is 3 inches higher than my friends 382,you can see the front step is completely out of the water, which makes sense, like he said its like hauling a compact car inside his boat with the 3000 lbs in difference in weight. The fastest ever in my class at the shoot out was a fountain 2 years ago at 96 mph,so thats my goal to top that ,Ive seen alot of money spent on boats and very few make it to 100 mph but lets hope for the best ,Kevin

When I got the boat ,the cabin was bare so I have been adding some seating and made the part with a plastic mirror in the front, had a buddy copy Formula cabin seats, turned out nice, the bolsters in the cockpit came out of a baja outlaw, the back seat was a warranty job ,how lucky !!
