I am guessing that when you come out of the hole with the platform for a little while at leaste the platform actually acts as a tab. Try giving it a little down tab and see if it comes out of the hole any better. I notice quite a bit of difference with my boat when they are down vs. up. I leave them up anyhow because it does get up on plane easy enough no matter what just faster with them down. Of course this was all 2 years ago

Russ, don't you love it when a plan comes together?
I'm glad to see you enjoying the fruits of your labor.
Btw, your wife and a clock???? Not again!

p.s. ask Johno how I "aced" backing that boat into the slip at MarVista yesterday. Just like I knew what I was doing.
Everybody gets lucky once in a while.

Jon, you might have something there. The Silent Thunder Box would definitely be "dragging" on the surface of the water when you go to go up on plane. I usually "tab down" to go up on plane, it's just quicker and seems easier. Plus visibility remains constant.
The boat definitely "frees up" once it's up on plane and the tabs are tucked back up. Still surprised me how touchier the drive tabs are now. Gonna need some practice.

I'll let Cuda tell "Outlaw" stories next time you see him.
