Where is the main ground on a 38' Lightning??
I've got a 2000 38' Lightning w/ HP 500 carbs and am adding two amps to the stereo. I looked all over the enginge compartment and couldn't figure out where the main ground is for the electrical system. PLEASE HELP!!
Is it behind the large white metal panel that runs the width of the back seat on the front of the engine compartment? This was my last resort, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get the panel back in place by myself due to the sheer weight of the thing with all the trim pumps, drive pumps, halon system, etc. mounted to it.
Assuming the main ground is behind this panel, any advice on how to get the panel off/on by myself would be greatly aprpeciated as well.

Mine is just below the trim pump white panel in the center on an 04. You do not have to remove anything to see it. The cable from the #1 battery goes straight to it.

Re: Where is the main ground on a 38' Lightning??
Fountainclimber - thanks for the info. That's where it was on my '03 27' as well, but not the case on my 38'. I think it's a twin vs. single thing (assuming your 29' is a single) or maybe they've changed it since '00, not sure.
Anyone else have any input??? I could certainly use some help.
