Hello. Just bought a 1999 47 Lightning with triple 525 SC's, extension boxes, 6.5 gen set and would like to obtain original or copies of factory supplied owners manuals, literature, ships papers folders, etc. Also Mercruiser owners manual as supplied by Merc for the 525's. I called Fountain and they said nothing available. Trying to track down Merc manual through local dealer with no success. Would appreciate any help available. Thanks

you can purchase service manuals for engines and drives, about 40. ea
call Mercury Marine in Fondulac WI and give them serial # on motors and drives.
There really isn't much in owners manuals from Fountain. Just have fun.

Fountain usually supplies the wiring diagram and cable lengths with new boats. It comes in a nice Fountain three ring binder. Give Gail Lang a call at Fountain and ask again. I'm sure they have a digital file they could send you. If not ask why. Maybe they will let you buy the binder.
Downtown is correct about the Merc manuals. I would give Marc, at Bam in FL, a call and I'm sure he could set you up with the Drive and engine manuals. You will need to call the manufactures of the generator, battery charger, stereo etc. and ask for there manuals. it's a shame the original owner didn't keep the paper work.

Thanks for all the responses guys! I will have to upgrade and post some pics when I get a chance. I will try Fountain again and call Mercury in Wisc. I bought the boat from National Marine Liquidators who apparently lost all the detailed original paperwork and service records the original owner in SC had kept. I am trying to sort out drive issues right now. All three drives lost the input shaft seal and dumped several quarts of lube in the extension boxes when National had "loaned" the boat to someone in Michigan. Looks like they just kept filling the reservoirs. More to follow.
