But.........................keep an eye on left seat passengers in rough water. One may reach out for a hand hold and mistakenly grap one of those controls.
Also..............watch anyone going into/out of the cabin while your moving as they may also reach out for a hand hold and also grap a control.

personly aafter using left hand throttles i love them. You dont fel so crowded. I really preffer them in heavy water.....however....Fountain does have a custom department and I am almost possitive you can get right hand throttles...all the old Comp series boats were on the right.

I always had right handed throttles and was very weary about driving with the left handed. No problems for me when the water's calm, but i'm still scared to run hard in the rough. Granted it's not my boat, but I still don't feel very comfortable working the sticks with my left hand. My step dad said it took him the whole first summer to get used to the left hand throttles.

It was also one of my concens when buying. I have been driving right hand throttle for about 20 years but it was never even an issue have the left hand throttles.
You will love the boat dont worry about the throttle position!!!!

Whats the difference, the duct tape being used to keep the throttles wide open doesn't care if they are mounted on the right or left!!!
