Re: Cheap Fountain
365's----bob stone (my mechanic) fired em. i havent heard em yet...he is still working on getting the dash panel and new throttles and gages set up, but i will post pics as i go for sure. i could use some opinions on some stuff though like:
rubrail---the boat is off white and has black now, but was thinking white until bob told me it wound'nt look good (because of the off white) is black with a chrome insert possable?
carpet: its grey im thinking red
remote trim (on wheel) it has the cords hanging from the stearing wheel, is it worth getting the wireless
theres still things i have yet to encounter....so stay tuned

Re: Cheap Fountain
My 89 boat is off whith and the rubrail was replaced with the newer style that Fountain used that is white with the white insert. Taco makes the rubrail and insert. The trick is getting the correct white. I think that they have 3 different whites.
I have a few dash panels here, new and used. Let me know if I can help.
Carpet: Call Matworks, wwwmatworks.com A good friend of mine owns the company and they do many of the OE carpets. They also have 3 or 4 different shades of red. Tell them Todd @ Outlaw sent you. Mike is the owner but Geoff is probablly the one to talk to.
I hated the cords for my trim so I went with the trim in throttle. The cordless is also nice. I have a new Lathem setup that has a leather wrapped wheel with switches that run through the hub if you are interested. It will work if you have hydraulic steering or if you plan to add it. I also have some components to add the hydraulic steering.

Re: Cheap Fountain
any of you guys try to order new interior skins from fountain...the problem I'm having is the interior guy I'm using said the the big expenses are the rear deck and the couch. now i called fountain and they told me that they can only sell me current model skins and that mine is totally different. i looked at new ones and those parts look the same as mine. I'm thinking that the guy who is installing the skins can make the adjustments, but if anyone has updated a 1990 to current and knows how close they are before i order it it would help BIG TIME. they want $1,072 for the full deck skin and that is much less expensive than having one made from scratch. the couch is shot completely (wood and foam all bad)
i was going to order the complete couch bottom $491 from fountain. does anyone know if that will fit?
also carpet----got a quote for snap less carpet $400
guy says the rubber backing is better than the snaps.
fountain says there carpet wont fit. true or false?
dash is on the way will post pic when complete
p.s. pachangalpina your right the trim switches on the throttles is the most sense able way to go--thats what I'm doing. bob stone told me the cords were the dinosaur way to do it!
