Does anyone have full time mufflers from merc.,they have an option instead of the switchable thru the prop. I am looking at an 01 with 500 efi's and they have the full time mufflers, I don't think I want them, I am wondering if they are removable or can be converted to a switchable type.

We have them. Dont see why they cant be removed. The mounting braket is screwed into the bottom of the swim deck. We are leaving them on due to noise restrictions here. They are quiet no doubt about it.

They canbe removed. I took them off our 42 Poker Run for the Key West Poker Run. Sounded much better! They are made by North Star.

Thanks for repies, if I purchase boat was hoping just to add the flappers , I would prefer to put silent choice on but I asume risers would have to be changed.
