I am still trying to decide if I want to change my transom cut-out to raise my drives. I have the engines out at the moment and have installed the new transom assemblies but they remove easily. Anyway I am interested in what you find because I also have an '89.
Post some pics of the boat.

Nauti, my X dim on my 35 is 16 3/4 also & I tried a set of -2 sportmasters with impressive gains - from what I understand the -2 imco or -2 bravo shop lowers are even faster yet. I'm sure you would benefit as well by raising drive height.

Ran Dom do you have any feedback on bravo shop b-max uppers ? Also , does the -2 lowers sacrifice the effect to tuck drives in all the way in rough water with the same effective control ?

my brother is running a BMax drive in a single engine cat (800HP) & thus far it has been the only drive that has held up.

I would putting about 700 hp twins thru them they should hold up fine.
the extra shaft price was for the case only purchase I believe,
and that 3380 was the quote for complete lower bought long or short customers choice.
