35 White Lightning

I am looking to move up to a 32 posibally a 35 any thoughts should I just hold out for a 35. I do like how you can walk up the sides of the 35. My budget limits me to an older boat early 90's. I am looking for coments as to trailering, ride ease of manuvering any thoughts would be appreciated. Usually lake and river boating in the Midwest

Both are great boats, go with a single step 35 if you can swing it. If not the non-stepped 32 is also a great boat.

Do you have room to park a 35??.......will a truck upgrade be in order ??.......if both these ok Id say go with a 35........I was in the same boat earlier this year.......the truck upgrade was the clincher.......35 would have reqd it......with our short seasons and tight quarters when it comes to docking/launching decided to keep the 29 and fix it up and have a real nice fast 29..........doug

That is what I wrestle about with moving up. I am right at my towing limit and I cannot get a 35 around conveniently without a different vehicle.

What did you tow it with, did the 35 ride nicer than the 32

I have a house on the lake & leave my boat in the water. I towed
the boat about 3 -4 tires a year. My truck in a 02 gmc 1500
step-side. 6 ft box. It actually towed it pretty good,but was probably
overweight. My 32 was a straight hull. It handled like a Ferrari.
My 35 is stepped. Totally different feel. It knocks the waves down better
and is faster,but the as$ end feels like its on marbles. I love the walk
around on the 35.The 32 you had to practically kill yourself getting over
the windshield to get on the bow. The 32 is basically a sit down as the
35 is more of a stand up boat. Both are great boats and I would
recommend either. Good luck.

Trailering isn't an issue for me as I leave my boat on a lift, but I went through the same decision several years ago. I had a 27 that I could trailer everywhere, but needed a longer boat to handle the lake. The 32's seemed to be priced quite a bit less than the 35. I really liked the ride of the 35 and I was tired of crawling over the windshield of my 27. Good luck with your decision.

Always go as big as possible. My 93 35 was so nice the original owner bought it back from me after 8yrs
